Peek gasket

PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) polymer tubing is biocompatible, chemically stable against most solvents, can be used with stainless steel or polymer fittings, and can replace stainless steel tubing in most liquid analysis systems, offering ease of use.

Advantages:

High pressure rating (up to 7000 psi in most cases)

High temperature rating (can be used continuously at up to 100°C)

Features a very smooth inner surface, generating less turbulence compared to metal tubing of the same size

Unlike stainless steel and titanium tubing, PEEK tubing is flexible and easy to cut

Excellent chemical compatibility; polymers rarely react adversely with solvents

(Except for DMSO, dichloromethane, and THF, which may cause slight swelling)

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) resin is a high-performance specialty engineering plastic with numerous distinct advantages over other specialty engineering plastics. It offers high-temperature resistance, excellent mechanical properties, good self-lubrication, chemical corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, peel resistance, radiation resistance, stable insulation, hydrolysis resistance, and ease of processing. It is used in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, electronics, electrical, medical, and food processing industries.

PEEK resin was first applied in the aerospace sector, replacing aluminum and other metal materials to manufacture various aircraft components. In the automotive industry, due to its excellent friction resistance and mechanical properties, PEEK resin is used as a raw material for engine covers. Components such as bearings, gaskets, seals, and clutch tooth rings made from it are employed in automotive transmission, braking, and air conditioning systems.
